Chaudary Shujat Hussain Supports Madrassas

Talking to Hanif Jalandri, general secretary of Wafaq al Madaras over the phone Chaudary Shujat Hussain (PMLQ) said relgious schools commonly knows as madarassas are not doing anything wrong and he support their existence.

The question for Chaudary Shujat Hussain is the Talibans and Jihadies where they got their training of Jihad and who taught them the definition of evil they are fighting now. What Maulana Samiul Haq (Madrassa Haqaniya) and Maulana Fazal ur Rahman along with others teaching them in their madrassas.

Chaudary Shujat Hussain had backing of religious parties in parliament elections so he wants to have good relations with for future political maneuvers .

Dunyanews Celebrated its Sixth Birthday

Last week Dunyanews celebrated its 6th birthday. Congratulation to owners and workers of the media house. The chief guest was Pervez Rashid (PMLN) federal information minister. That was shameful. Pervez Rashid is well known for his lies. In fact in one of the TV shows a well respected correspondent said he wish he could find a person who can compete with Pervez Rashid in his lies.

It is up to the management of Dunyanews media house to whom they invite as chief guest but we wonder Dunyanews management thinks that high about Pervez Rashid. Obviously we are bound to think whether Dunyanews is more interested to get the advertisement from information ministry rather than keeping their impartiality in their programming.

Who is Going to be the Next Chief Election Commissioner?

It does not make any difference who is going to be the next chief election commissioner. The present poor rather corrupt performance of the election commission will continue.

Why?

Here is the reason. When you want to construct a bridge you get a civil engineer for the job. When you need to keep a close eye on your cash flow you assign the job to an accountant. When you want to build machinery you get a mechanical engineer. When you will put an accountant in place of a civil engineer you know what will happen.

Conducting election is a project management type job. You need an administrator with strong project management skills. Every professional mentioned above have necessary education, training and experience. A judge has the education in law and have the experience in the use and interpretation of different clauses and articles of law. That is what he has been doing all along his career. What he knows about project management or administration.

Because our system of governance is so corrupted our decision makers think they need an honest person for conducting the election. To get the job done you need a professional and to circumvent the corruption you need a strong system with strong checks and balances. None of them exists in our present election system.

Do you think an honest accountant can do the job of a civil engineer. Just because he is honest. Honesty has nothing to do with the professional knowledge and experience. Assigning, selecting or electing or nominating a judge as election commissioner will not any good to the election system.

We all have seen what the judge who worked as chief election commissioner previously has delivered. He may be honest but he did not have the management skills.

Our politicians are making that mistake again by putting a judge for the job of chief election commissioner. Some one can say this is what is written in the constitution. Who designed the constitution, the same politicians.

One more idea may be Zardari (PPP) and Nawaz Sharif (PMLN) know better than us how to manipulate the election results so they agree to put this requirement in the constitution. An old retired judge (preferably 70+ years) who don’t have energy left for anything best suits them as chief election commissioner.

Nawaz Sharif in UK to Attend the Afghanistan Conference

This is a big joke.

The man who do not have the capacity and who could not deliver anything good to his own country he is going to suggest or participate in Afghanistan’s betterment. What a joke.

Pakistani TV Anchors and Expert Analysts

There are three types of TV anchors and TV analysts.

1. Those anchors and analysts who talk only facts and truths. In this category you can count Mubashar Luqman (presently with ARY News), Hasan Nisar and Haroon Rasheed, both very influential and widely read columnists and analysts.

2. The anchors who are basically paid promoters of specified agendas and work for different political parties. There is quite number of anchors and analysts fall in this category.

3. The anchors who show they are neutral. So their technique is they see the wind direction. They go with the wind. Basically, they want people watch their show or program. They see if the popularity of PTI is on the rise they will praise PTI. A moment later they will also mention a couple of weak points of PTI with the comment that ‘I don’t agree with PTI’. And that point will be to please the other opponent party or show that he is neutral.

You watch out for these paid and self proclaimed experts. The anchors and analysts falling in the category 2 and 3 are they doing their job honestly? You make your own judgement.

There is nothing wrong to have an opinion on any political activity or agenda of a political party. This is the responsibility of the anchors or analysts to portray his position honestly. That is our policy at Pakistan Forum. We say what we honestly believe is right and true. And we encourage our readers to form their opinion.

Javed Hashmi’s Defeat

Javed Hashmi is defeated in Multan NA-149 by-election is not a news. This was already foregone conclusion that he is going to lose this election. The news is he got votes more than expected. He has accepted his defeat. I don’t think he had any other option. He said he Read More…

Lies of Javed Hashmi

We are ashamed to say Javed Hashmi lies.

Javed Hashmi said Imran Khan told him Army and judiciary is with him particularly for this Azadi March. ISPR denied this accusation. Imran Khan has already dispensed a very strong rebuttal this evening in his speech while addressing audience of sit-in in Islamabad. Imran Khan stated in the summer of 2013 after election he said to his core committee members meeting that if by next summer (summer of 2014) this rigging issues are not resolved PTI will go on road. Further he said if Army and Judiciary were behind him then General Kiyani and Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudary both have retired so how they can pass on their support to their incumbents.

The question is, is it a new revelation to Javed Hashmi. If he did not like that why he did not leave PTI at that time when he learned about this. Actually, the story is different. Javed Hashmi had secret contacts with PMLN for some time. Khawaja Asif mentioned once in a TV program. There are some other stories also but we will leave that here for the time being.

People including media have created his image larger than life but the fact of the matter is he is no different than other politicians of Pakistan including his long time boss Nawaz Sharif. Basically, he is not a person of a stable temperament. Also, he has interpersonal problems. Starting from his political career, PTI was his fourth party. Chances are sooner or later he will go back to PMLN under the Nawaz Sharif. When he was in the college he was active member of Jamiat-e-Talba (student wing of Jamat-e-Islami). Jamiat was famous for violence. Then he was a minister in Zia ul Haq’s regime. Now he talk about anti dictatorship. Nawaz Sharif was chief minister of Punjab. Now he also claims he has fought for democracy.

When Nawaz Sharif came into power he was again a minister in his cabinet. He made money just like any other minister and his boss during that time. Today he talks about corruption.

What a pity? Few days back he was shouting slogans against Nawaz Sharif and today he was shown on TV screens in the parliament before leaving the house he went to see Nawaz Sharif with a smiling face and shacked with his old boss.

Earlier while he was member of PTI he said in the parliament Nawaz Sharif is his leader and will always be his leader. That was the opening session of the parliament after May 2013 election. Khawaja Asif of PMLN said it seems Javed Hashmi wants to come back to PMLN.

We don’t know Imran Khan asked Javed Hashmi about his statement or not but definitely Imran Khan tolerated him. It seems Imran Khan don’t have experience with these old timer felon characters. When Javed Hashmi left Imran Khan for Multan before the start of Azadi March from Lahore we indicated to Imran Khan, Javed Hashmi is a dead horse. He should not depend on him.
