What Qaim Ali Shah has Instructed Sind Police Department?

Qaim Ali Shah supports MQMQaim Ali Shah has instructed Police Department that when they accounce any information about an arrested person they should not announce his affiliation with his political party.

Why Chief Minister has done that?

Simply to give some support to MQM’s deteriorating reputation. If the culprit himself claims he has links with MQM or any other political party then why you want to stop him from his confession.

What MQM does is that when one of his workers or party members is get caught Altaf Hussain announces MQM does not know him. The problem is MQM and Altaf Hussain has lost the credibility they need to work on that. When Rangers say something and MQM say something else then to whom the people will belive. The answer is very obvious.

On top of that more recently in a telephonic address to his members, Altaf Hussain called Indian intelligency agency RAW for help. Two of MQM’s workers presently in the police custody also confessed how they went to Thailand and from their to India and what training they got over there. When all these things have appreaded in the news media making noise of MQM leadship will not making any difference. People will believe the entity who has more credibility.

MQM should seriously think about damage control. Noise will further damage their credibility. One thing MQM should understand Karachi is not Pakistan. They don’t own Karachi as they frequently claim in their speeches and statements. MQM’s workers may believe what Altaf Hussain or their local leadership in Karachi say but other people no matter where they live don’t believe them. As long as MQM does not accept this fact nothing will change in favor of MQM.

Who is Going to be the Next Chief Election Commissioner?

It does not make any difference who is going to be the next chief election commissioner. The present poor rather corrupt performance of the election commission will continue.

Why?

Here is the reason. When you want to construct a bridge you get a civil engineer for the job. When you need to keep a close eye on your cash flow you assign the job to an accountant. When you want to build machinery you get a mechanical engineer. When you will put an accountant in place of a civil engineer you know what will happen.

Conducting election is a project management type job. You need an administrator with strong project management skills. Every professional mentioned above have necessary education, training and experience. A judge has the education in law and have the experience in the use and interpretation of different clauses and articles of law. That is what he has been doing all along his career. What he knows about project management or administration.

Because our system of governance is so corrupted our decision makers think they need an honest person for conducting the election. To get the job done you need a professional and to circumvent the corruption you need a strong system with strong checks and balances. None of them exists in our present election system.

Do you think an honest accountant can do the job of a civil engineer. Just because he is honest. Honesty has nothing to do with the professional knowledge and experience. Assigning, selecting or electing or nominating a judge as election commissioner will not any good to the election system.

We all have seen what the judge who worked as chief election commissioner previously has delivered. He may be honest but he did not have the management skills.

Our politicians are making that mistake again by putting a judge for the job of chief election commissioner. Some one can say this is what is written in the constitution. Who designed the constitution, the same politicians.

One more idea may be Zardari (PPP) and Nawaz Sharif (PMLN) know better than us how to manipulate the election results so they agree to put this requirement in the constitution. An old retired judge (preferably 70+ years) who don’t have energy left for anything best suits them as chief election commissioner.

Benazir Bhutto: Is She Founder of Pakistan?

Benazir-Bhutto-Is-She-Founder-of-Pakistan

Today, Yousaf Raza Gilani Prime in the press conference was with Turkish Prime Minister. In the back drop there was a big picture of Benazir Bhutto.

Should that picture be there?

Earlier Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s picture used to on the walls of government and national institutions. Now Banazir Bhutto’s picture was displayed at wall as mentioned above.
Benazir Bhutto was chairwoman of the Pakistan Peoples Party. She has no relation no comparison with our founding fathers of this country.

Same is the situation in President House and Prime Minister House. Many times we have seen the picture of Benazir Bhutto in the clips when they show foreign delegations visiting president or prime minister.

Before we were changing the names of roads and streets to the names of our national heroes. Now Peoples Party has changed the name of the founding father.

After the death of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, PPP did the same thing what they are doing now with Benazir Bhutto. They are trying to get some mileage out of their name. The time has changed now. I don’t think PPP has realized that. People wants to see the results not Benazir Bhutto’s picture.

Nation is asking show me the money not the picture of your wife.
When Zaradri addressed the UN General Assembly in New York last month he kept his wife’s picture on the podium. What he wanted to tell the world. The world only know him by two things. First he was also know Mr. 10 percent in the west. And second thing they know he was sending fake medical certificates to Swiss Courts that he is not mentally fit to stand trial. He was living in his apartment in New York with his dogs and his wife used live in Dubai. But when Benazir died all his illnesses went with her.

Who is Ruling Pakistan, Taliban or Pakistan Peoples Party?

You have already heard the devastating news of two suicide bomb attacks in Islamic University of Islamabad today. So far 4 dead and 25 are injured.

After this incident, all the schools, colleges and universities in the Province of Punjab, Sind and NWFP have been closed. May be the institutions are also closed in Baluchistan but I have not seen the news tape about that.  So the Government is so helpless or afraid of these Islamic or religious extremists that they have closed all the educational institutions. Extremists have shown their ability to chose their target and attack at their will.

Government has shown their helplessness and have surrendered to the extremists. We as citizens of this country want protection which present Government has failed to provide us. This was government’s responsibility to track the perpetrators and take necessary action. We have only heard very feeble voice of Asif Ali Zardari and Yousaf Raza Gilani in condemnation. Condemnation does not protect our lives.

During the last couple of weeks you know these extremists commonly known as Taliban or what ever you call them they have attacked first World Food Program’s offices in Islamabad, CIA offices in Lahore then in Peshawar. All these attacks have been very devastating. Quite a number of innocent people have died.
Now the million dollar question is where is our Government to protect the people of Pakistan.

It seems Talibans are ruling this country

Our President asked the international community to give him one hundred billion dollars to fight extremism otherwise he can not do anything. Peoples of Pakistan voted to Pakistan Peoples Party to run the country. It had nothing to do with international community to give one hundred billion dollars.

Do the present government knows what to do?
Do they have any action plan?

Unfortunately answer to these questions is NO.
Government is telling us that they have started military action in South Waziristan and that will bring peace to the country. Is it true?

No!

They also told us that Baitullah Mehsud has been killed so now there is going to peace every where. That turned out to be mirage.
We ran a survey at Pakistan Forum about the ability of present government to solve the problems facing Pakistan. We will run the results of that survey tomorrow.
