Short Answer.

The person, Asif Ali Zardari would like to be at this chair will be the Senate Chairman. Deputy Chairman he may agree to take from Nawaz League or any other party.

Here is Why?

Zardari is very shrewd politician and have the ability to maneuver the political events while Nawaz Sharif is not even close to it. In fact Nawaz Sharif don’t have the ability to think and comprehend the situation nor he has anybody in his party of that caliber. And interesting thing is Nawaz Sharif will agree to Zaradri at Zardari’s terms.

Why Zardari Needs to Have Senate Chairman of His Choice?

To have commanding position in the Senate he has to have his man on the chair to maneuver the passing of any bill in the Senate. Zardari knows Sharif has members in majority in the Senate and there is only one way to neutralize Sharif’s majority by having his person as Senate Chairman.

Why Nawaz Sharif Has to Agree on Zardari’s Terms?

Nawaz Sharif has his personal agenda which he wants to get approved as soon as possible before the new election of the Parliament. Though in the Parliament and Senate, Sharif has majority but without the help of Zardari he cannot get anything approved in the Parliament and or Senate to make it a law. Therefore, he will agree with Zardari’s terms to get his cooperation and support. This thing is still unknown on which items Zardari will support Nawaz Sharif and on which items he will not support.

What is Nawaz Sharif’s Agenda?

Before the new election of the Parliament, Nawaz Sharif wants to get the follow laws passed since he has the neccesary votes in the Parliamnet and Senate or he can muster the required votes to get his agenda done. These are the items mentioned by different news media.

• Decrease the age of retirement of justices in the Supreme Court. Purpose is to get rid of all those justices who were on the Panama Case bench.
• Nomination of Chief Justice to Supreme Court either through Parliament and Senate or by with the approval of Fedral governemnt. Purpose to have full control.
• In the Armed Forces, personnel in the rank of Brigadier and above or equivalent should be selected and nominated by the Prime Minister. As it is done to select the Chief of Army. Purpose to have full control of the Armed Forces.
• Scrape or limit the authority and area of actions of National Accountability Bureau.

Primarily the purpose of all the amendments to constitution or rules and regulations is to protect his money and himself or in a broader term Sicilian Mafia. Since there will be certain things which will benefit Zardari so he may agree to those amendments.

Assuming these changes get approved, it is not sure at this time, there is every chance that these changes to constituion will be challenged in the Supreme Court. Approval of changes to Army Act is not going to be an easy task. Because of the NAB cases the situation is quite fluid and Zardari will think twice before going with Nawaz Sharif on these changes.

This is our analysis of the situation based on the information available at this time.

Yesterday, Nawaz Sharif met with his collusion partners namely Maulana Fazal ur Rahman, Mir Hasil Bizingo and Mahmood Khan Achakzai. After the meeting Achakzai said Nawaz League has 54 votes in the Senate therefore Chairman will be from PMLN. Further, he said they will release the members’s list.

At the same time Fazal Rahman met Zardari and proposed Raza Rabbani’s name on behalf of Nawaz Sharif. Zardari refused this offer.

Why Raza Rabbani (PPP) is Not Acceptable to Zardari?

Very simple reason. Zardari don’t trust Rabbani. Basically Rabbani don’t have stable personailty. At times he becomes unpredictable which is not acceptable to Zardari. Zardari’s favorite at least for now  is Saleem Mandviwalla (PPP). PTI has already announced they will support Mandviwalla. PTI has also said if somebody is nominated from Baluchistan for Deputy Chairman they will support him. The name circulating among the politicians is Anwarul Haq Kakkar for Deputy Chairman.

The short answer is, there is NO difference between previous NAB chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudry and new chairman justice retired Javed Iqbal.

Here is the reason why we think so.

Justice retired Javed Iqbal is selected by the same two persons of the mafia namely Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari who selected Qamar Zaman Chaudry. Both have been accused of corruption and cases against both these leaders are either going on or pending.

Panama Case is preceding against Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Safdar and Safdar Awan, Maryam’s husband. On the other hand, there are cases pending in NAB against Asif Zardari. Besides the NRO which was signed by Benazir Bhutto on behalf of Peoples Party has been declared null and void by the supreme court. Sooner or later all those cases around, eight thousand will be opened. There are cases against Zardari which were commuted because of NRO.

How you expect a person who is selected and nominated by the leaders accused of corruption will take any action against those leaders.

Qamar Zaman Chaudry bluntly refused in front of the chief justice of the supreme court to take any action against the people involved in mega corruption cases pending with NAB. Supreme court did not take any action against Qamar Zaman.

Javed Iqbal is selected and nominated by the same two corrupt leaders. We wonder how he will take any action against these mafia leaders. At least we don’t expect.

What will happen today (Friday November 3, 2017) in the National Accountability Court (NAB)

Short answer is nothing.

Why, because we believe there is an understanding rather collusion between the Islamabad High Court (IHC) and NAB to give every possible relief to Sharif Mafia, if nothing else at least delay the case

Nawaz Sharif filed a case in IHC asking to combine his three cases in NAB court to one. IHC agree and asked NAB to do it. In fact all the three cases are different. But if a high court wants to favor some one it can do it and IHC has done its obligation to Sharif Mafia. On Thursday (November 2, 2017) IHC announced short order about this case. What will be its’ implication on today’s proceedings in NAB court we will talk about in a minute.

NAB rules and regulations allow under Rule 17 to indict a person in his absence if he represent himself by a nominee. Nawaz Sharif did that and NAB court indicted Nawaz Sharif through his representative on October 19, 2017. At that time Sharif Mafia’s attorneys did not raise any question meaning accepted this action of NAB but now IHC has cancelled that NAB court’s this action. It means Nawaz Sharif is not indicted yet.

Here is what all this means.

Nawaz Sharif’s attorney is going to say since we have not received the detailed judgement of IHC therefore we request for another date. If Judge Muhammad Bashir showed some action he may indict Nawaz Sharif in his presence today. That is also possible if Sharif Mafia did not bring their miscreants to disturb the court proceedings and Judge Muhammad Bashir wants to do that. Sharif Mafia’s goal would be indictment should not take place.

Purpose of all these things is to delay the case. If Nawaz Sahrif is not indicted he will leave the country and the case may stop. That is exactly what Sharif Mafia wants and NAB and IHC are abetter in this regard to Sharif Mafia.
